The owners of this 1930's house wanted to reconfigure the series of rooms facing the garden to make them more practical for day to day living. An extension was removed and a new one built to house a dining room, the kitchen was then relocated adjacent and the living rooms arranged along the back of the house, linked via a pivot door creating an internal passage along the new sweeping garden terrace. Internal and external detailing was undertaken in hardwood as a contemporary acknowledgement of the 1930's deco style, complementing the existing features and balance of the house. Every last detail has been carefully considered to creating this beautiful effect.
