This building, situated in the center of the Somerset market town of Wellington is unusual in as much as it was clearly originally for livestock use when built in the 17th Century, functioning as a linhay in the center of the town, albeit set back behind the main South street. We surveyed the whole structure and analyzed the results, to understand its original form and use. With a full condition report proposals for its conservation were made, along with a proposal for its conversion into a dwelling. The building is still in use as a storeroom and shop today.
