The house was built in the late 1970's as part of an experimental and forward thinking ecological and energy efficient development in Dulwich by up and coming architects, who are now renowed for their work in this field. We analysed the systems, materials and methods used, and came up with a design that enhanced and improved on these, at the same time modernising and fully refurbishing the interiors in a way that respected the period in which the house was built. A pond was then built around the double height conservatory to link nature with the house in a subtle and intimate way, completing the picture.
